Mahamed Yusuf

Additional Information: Hi, my name is Mahamed Yusuf, and my future goal is to become a physician. I am currently interested in pursuing either Neurology or Family Medicine. Previously, I conducted atmospheric chemistry research in Dr. Hanson’s lab at Augsburg University. Currently, I work in Dr. Julia Liu’s lab, studying cardiomyocytes in mouse models to better understand mitochondrial dysfunction and cardiac injury during ischemia-reperfusion. Outside of academics, I enjoy working out and cooking, and I have recently gotten into running. I also love visiting museums and trying new restaurants.
