Tobin Ziel

Additional Information: Tobin's path has been anything but traditional. His late teens and twenties were dominated by climbing and mountaineering around the world. When a friend suffered a near-fatal climbing fall, Tobin was drawn to critical care nursing. After graduating from Seattle University, he has spent his nursing career in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, where he cares for a patient population with complex cardiopulmonary pathologies often requiring support with mechanical circulatory devices. He holds nursing certifications in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiac Medicine. In addition to direct patient care, he publishes monthly nurse education bulletins. Tobin hopes to transition from bedside nursing to nurse anesthesia or medical school. In his free time, Tobin is still trying to figure out where the mountains are here in the Midwest.
